The pace here is unhurried, encouraging you to sink into the rhythm of a genuine local eatery. The atmosphere feels relaxed but with a warm energy that’s easy to soak up; it’s a spot that invites you to lean back and savor the human moments around you as much as the food itself.
Seafood takes center stage in this cozy space, with each dish carrying whispers of Cajun and Creole traditions. Whether it’s the crisp fried catchfish served alongside hush puppies or the generous boils brimming with shrimp and snow crab, the plates come brimming with rhythm and soul. Deeply seasoned without overwhelming, these flavors speak of kitchens where detail matters, but comfort always comes first.
Behind the scenes, you’ll notice an earnestness from the team—attentive, easy-going, and ready to make each visit feel like a friendly gathering rather than just a meal. The blend of Louisiana spice with Texan warmth creates an experience that is both a taste adventure and a reassuring reminder of home.

Went as soon at it opened. Everything was hot and fresh. Catfish and shrimp was very good. Shrimp etouffee was about a 3.

We stopped by for dinner at The Catch in Lubbock TX. Dad and my brother both ordered the Catfish plate . This comes with fries and Hush Puppies. My brother also ordered extra Hush Puppies. I ordered the Catfish and Shrimp Plate. This plate also comes with fries and Hush Puppies. I also ordered a bowl of Gumbo. I was pleasantly surprised how really good the fish and shrimp were. The fish was crispy and the Shrimp cooked perfectly. The Hush Puppies were the best I've ever eaten. Unfortunately not the same for the Gumbo. The dish lacked flavor, I could not detect the dark roux flavor. I also noticed the thin slices of sausage were cut in half I really could not taste it. Overall it was a great experience.

First time at The Catch - we ordered chicken and “catch”fish basket, Alaskan Pollock, and the Big Easy. We really only liked the hush puppies, Alaskan Pollock, and the catch fish. Some things were a little over seasoned, but it is a Louisiana style kitchen! The service was still awesome and attentive - which is great! Atmosphere is nice too - very much a family spot.

Went here for the first time today and sat inside. The staff was friendly. I got the big easy with zucchini and beignets. The give you just enough to not still be hungry but you won’t be stuffed. The food was really good. The beignets were tough and overcooked. But my main concern was the cleanliness. The dining room is in desperate need of a deep clean and maybe a different set up for sanitary reasons. It wasn’t filthy but just looks like it’s never properly cleaned. Lots of crumbs and food dust everywhere. And when I went there was nobody there but me, There are community seasoning containers vinegar and hot sauce bottles salt and pepper shakers and they’re gross. Like people eating with dirty hands use them and then they’re not properly cleaned. They use house hold paper towel rolls and the holders are dirty. The community lemons are in an open container on the counter. All I could think about is spit skin flakes and dust. The forks and spoons are all open together in open holes in the counter but thankfully they also have plastic cutlery sets. The women’s bathroom wasn’t filthy but it needed to be cleaned. The place gave me the heebie jeebies honestly. While I can be anal, I still think it should be addressed. The kitchen looked clean the workers were changing gloves often and the food was good so next time I’ll go through the drive through lol

As someone who grew up in southern Louisiana, any restaraunt that serves seafood and has Tony Chacere's as well as Tabasco hot sauce on the table is already winning in my book. I got the fried catchfish and gator basket with a water which totaled out to less than $20. I wasn't able to finish my food and have a nice snack for later. The staff was friendly, the vibe is casual, and the food is amazing. I will definitely be returning for another meal!

We had grilled catfish and sausage, and fried catfish and shrimp. They were wonderful. Fish is juicy, tender, and very fresh tasting. Fried shrimps can go head to head with the best Japanese tempura shrimp, they were tender and succulent. The grilled fish had a very nice Cajon flavor, and most importantly, all the catfish served had no trace of the strong fishy taste when they aren't absolutely fresh.
